Quickly, before I go to Lydia's Equestrian Show, I wanted to let you know that Aly's feeling a bit better today. I was right about what she was saying yesterday. She was trying to say sometimes she wishes she'd never met me but that's because she thought she was going to be a burden to me. She said I don't need a 'sickly wife'. Your sister is very silly and I told her as much. But you know...I told her nicely. She ate breakfast and Emma's with her now. Kat's taping the show so Aly can see it tonight.
I'll see you tomorrow. Did you want to meet here or at the psych ward? That sounds odd.
My daughter placed second in her divison at an equestrian event. She's been taking classes for riding and they do a few jumps as well. This was her first show and she placed second. I'm so proud. And then I offered to take her to her favourite ice cream parlour, Bernotti's. Lydia adores that place, but she said that she was sad Aly couldn't come. She suggested we buy ice cream from the store and have a party in Aly's room. I hadn't even thought of that. My 11 year old daughter is one of the most compassionate people I've ever met. I couldn't be prouder.
I'm proud of Aly as well. She found out yesterday that the poison that was given to her caused some permanent damage. Instead of letting it get her down, she's come up with a way to turn it into something positive. I won't give away the news though, that's hers to tell.
I know the most extraordinary people. I'm so lucky.
