My other house was burglarised last night. Dimitri was severely wounded in the incident. He said there was about four men and they knocked on the door. He didn't check before opening it, he just did and they attacked him. Robert found him unconscious when he got home and it was clear he'd been that way for several hours. He'll be alright. He's in hospital, and there are a few broken bones, but nothing unfixable. I feel terrible because he was staying at my house so this kind of thing wouldn't happen and it did anyway. I'm installing alarms in that house as well. He's feeling guilty because he opened the door and let them in, but that's hardly his fault. As for the stuff that was taken, it's of little consequence. There were a few pieces of my mother's jewelry that are not replacable, but it's just things.
Josie, they didn't mess with you, did they? Did you even see them?
I wrote this to warn everyone. These people are still out there and to knock on a door and then attack the person answering is pretty ruthless. At the risk of sounding like an overprotective father, don't open the door unless you know who is on the other side. Please be careful. And as always, ring me if you need anything. I'm leaving the country tomorrow, but David will still be here. So will Liz. Either one of them would be with you in a second if you needed them. Stay safe.
